What We Do

The Kansas Department of Commerce has announced a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) award for the first regional water project in over a decade. This project will provide improved water access to residents in Coffeyville and Caney.
The SEKRPC is excited to be part of such an important project for the citizens of Caney and looks forward to working with all of the funding partners and project team throughout the coming months.

This exciting project includes a partnership between the City of Bartlett and USD 506 to provide a summer internship program for six to eight students. This will expand the current building trades program from 9 months to 12 months while students build a beautiful home from the ground up! The estimated project cost is $125,000, with the grant contributing $100,000.
The project is well underway, and we can't wait to see the finished product!

This project will rehab a commercial building in downtown Eudora, Kansas. This project will restore the exterior walls, replace windows, and storefront replacement. The estimated cost of the project is $372,305 with the grant funding $250,000. We are excited to see this building transform!
